Warren leading region in gas prices
Gas prices fell two cents in the region this week.
But not in Warren.
The average for the western Pennsylvania fell two cents to $3.83.
But Warren leads the region at $3.999, according to AAA East Central’s Gas Price Report.
The national average rose two cents this week to $3.83.
“The increase comes after a recent uptick in the price of oil, the primary ingredient in gasoline,” the report explained.
Also complicating prices was an uptick in demand and a decline in supply, according to data from the Energy Information Administration.
“The price of oil has increased amid news that Saudi Arabia plans to continue its voluntary 1 million barrels per day production cut through the end of the year,” according to the report.
