The Warren County Fair is kicking into gear tonight with a brand new motorsports event.

This year will introduce events by KOI Drag Racing at 7 p.m.

“If somebody ever wanted to try drag racing, this is a good opportunity to do that,” said fair motorsports organizer Tyler Lowe.

Events will cover a number of classes, from dirt bikes to quads to side-by-sides.

“It’s just about any type of vehicle,” Lowe noted. “There’s all kind of different classes.”

Lowe also highlighted some perennial favorites later in the week.

“Traditionally, Friday night, for the modified truck and tractor pull, that’s always gotten great attendance,” he said.

The event features four classes, from tractors to semis.Lowe noted the “Run What Ya Brung 4×4” class looks to be a highlight.

“That’s very competitive this year,” he noted. “That’s going to be really good to see.”

The night will end with semi pull events. “Somebody might like pickup trucks, somebody might like semis,” he said. “So we try to get a good variety.”

Saturday night features local favorite stock car football.

Stock car football features a marked out field with end zones. Three car teams attempt to push a six-foot tall soccer ball into the end zone to score points.

“It’s just like football,” Lowe said. “You’ve got to get down to the end zone to score your points.”

Lowe encouraged all motorsports enthusiasts to visit. “You want to see anything with an engine in it, check out the fair schedule,” he said.
