Vintage Book and Paper Show set for Saturday August 5

The Chautauqua Region Vintage Book and Paper Show and Sale will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 5, at the Chautauqua Inn and Suites.

The show takes place on the first Saturday of August every year and provides more than 30 dealers in primarily vintage books, paper collectibles/ephemera including postcards, photographs, prints, posters, historical items (both local and beyond), sports memorabilia, and the like, supplemented with a variety of other antique collectibles to provide things of interest for most everyone. Not only will there be antiquarian, first editions, local history books, but vendors that can help with family history, research, and authors of local and regional historical offerings including Ken Springirth, author of many railroad history related publications. Proceeds from the show go into the Trolley #93 Fund with the Chautauqua Region Community Foundation for the preservation of one of the last of the hundreds of streetcars and trolley cars that serviced residents of Erie County and Chautauqua County as well as Erie County, Pa.
