The rewards keep rolling in for Tucker, the 6-year-old chocolate lab mix, whose awareness led to the apprehension of jail escapee Michael Burham.
Tucker led his owners, Ron and Cindy Ecklund, down to Jackson Run where Burham was cited. A couple hours later, the nine-day manhunt was over.,
Greg Austin, president of Targeted Pet Treats, said people started asking him what Targeted could do for Tucker as details of his role in Burham’s capture became known.
“Without hesitation, we will do something,” he said.
On Friday, that took the form of a year’s worth of treats and a large dog bed stuffed with toys.

Austin said that Tucker’s actions are “allowing us all to sleep at night.”
“It’s just a privilege and an honor,” Austin said to the Ecklunds. “Thank you for the opportunity to allow us to bless Tucker.
“Give him one a day and keep him happy.”
