Elementary center students take part in Field Day events
At Field Day, Warren Area Elementary Center students competed in a Hula Hoop Hop, a relay race, and an obstacle course, and cooperated on parachute fun.
The event, the second annual, was a reward for students showing FIRE – Friendship, Independence, Responsibility, and Excellence.
It was organized by the Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) Team.
Classes headed out to the field behind Warren County Career Center and visited the four stations.
“We do this every year,” fourth-grader Paige Baran said. “My favorite is the relay race.”
“There are a lot of activities that are fun,” fourth-grader Mackenzie Amoroso said.
Students from the Warren County Career Center protective services program provided crowd control for the event, while interacting with the kids when they got the chance.
“WAEC’s FIRE Club, which consists of fourth-grade students that demonstrate FIRE regularly, helped to set up the activities and assisted with the kindergarten classes,” School Counselor Missy McNett said. “This is the second year that WAEC has participated in Field Day and we love seeing everyone’s smiles while they make lasting memories.”
