Kindergarten registration for coming school year continues
Kindergarten registration for the coming school year is ongoing.
A child must be five years old on or before July 1, 2023, and live in the Warren County School District to be eligible to attend kindergarten in the district in the fall.
The district includes all of Warren County except for Southwest, Columbus, and Spring Creek townships.
Those who are signed up, and those who are unable to do so from home, are encouraged to attend one of the kindergarten roundup events to be held in all four attendance areas this month.
The roundups offer families chances to meet with the transportation department to discuss busing, school nurses to talk about medical needs and screening requirements, food services to learn about healthy breakfasts and lunches, and other school personnel.
Each kindergarten student will leave the roundup with a free backpack of learning materials.
The roundup schedule is:
¯ Central Attendance Area — Warren Area Elementary Center: 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, May 15;
¯ Eastern Attendance Area — Sheffield Elementary School: 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 23;
¯ Northern Attendance Area — Eisenhower Elementary School: 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 17; and
¯ Western Attendance Area — Youngsville Elementary School: 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday, May 25.
Families may register a student in Warren County School District by visiting wcsdpa.org and clicking on the registration tab.
Supporting documents required for registration include the student’s state-issued birth certificate, a parent’s proof of residence, and the student’s immunization records.
Registration help is available by calling the district registrar’s office at (814) 723-6900 ext. 1027.
