Gas price steady this week in Warren
Gas prices fell two cents in western Pennsylvania though the cost here fell less than a penny.
The average in the region is $3.79. Warren came in at $3.796, according to the AAA East Central Gas Price Report.
As has been the case in recent weeks, falling oil prices are driving the price down. The national average fell by a nickel to $3.61. That’s still 11 cents more, though, than one month ago.
“Oil prices fell amid ongoing market concerns that low consumer confidence could contribute to a recession this year,” according to the report.
Week-to-week, gas demand was on the rise.
“Higher demand, alongside a decline in stocks, would typically push pump prices up; however, fluctuating oil prices have pushed them lower,” per the report.
This week’s cheapest gas can be found in Brookville, which came in at $3.623 this week.
