Help available for regional entrepreneurs through Big Ideas
Sometimes, Big Ideas need a little help.
Entrepreneurs with big ideas for developing a product or innovation related to the maker economy, outdoors and recreation, forest products, manufacturing, and technology, are invited to the Big Ideas Contest.
“Ben Franklin Technology Partners is looking for innovators with Big Ideas located in Cameron, Elk, Forest, McKean, or Warren county,” Warren County Chamber of Business and Industry Administrative Assistant Savannah Casey said.
The second of three events related to the contest will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, March 23, at the Woman’s Club of Warren, 310 Market St.
Participants will meet representatives from Small Business Development Center – Gannon, Pennsylvania Technical Assistance Program (PennTAP), Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) who will provide answers to questions about entrepreneurship and startups. “Leave with knowledge on how to plan, pitch, and win — meet the people who can help you get started, network with community leaders, and hear entrepreneur stories,” Casey said.
The event is sponsored by the Ben Franklin Technology Partners of Central and Northern PA and the PA Wilds Center for Entrepreneurship, and is part of a three-year initiative funded by the ARC.
It is part of the Big Ideas Contest, in which one winner could receive up to $50,000 in cash. No appointments nor registration are required.
