School board recognized on Knightly News

Times Observer photo by Brian Ferry Warren County School District School Board President Paul Mangione and Superintendent Amy Stewart watch the Eisenhower Knightly News School Board Recognition Month broadcast during Monday night’s committee meetings.

At Monday’s school board committee meetings, members were thanked for their efforts by administrators, teachers, and received a special thank you from a student group.

During its School Board Recognition Month broadcast, Eisenhower’s Journalism Group thanked the school board for its support of their program.

Media Manager Abi Grunden and Haley Eckman

“The Eisenhower Journalism Department is so thankful for the new studio that was installed over the summer and is being used for the first time this school year,” Grunden said.

“Thank you, school board, for helping to make our news program the best it can be,” Eckman said.

During the two-minute, 20-second video, students posed questions to their fellows about how much school board members make (they’re unpaid volunteers) and what they do.

In closing, Grunden and Eckman had some advice for the board.

“Stay classy, school board.”
