Saturday was a busy day at Chapman State Park for the 2023 edition of Warren County Winterfest. Activities ranged from sledding races and ice fishing in the morning to plunging and racing kayaks in the afternoon and food available throughout the day. The sun was out but a crisp wind kept the “feels like” temperature in the teens throughout the day. That probably mattered to no one more than the 17 individuals who braved the elements to participate in the Polar Plunge, a fundraiser for the Salvation Army.
