Winter weather advisory issued for county
For those who have been saying winter hasn’t really arrived in Warren County yet this season, Wednesday could change that.
Heavy weather is on its way.
The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for 4 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, for Warren and McKean counties, calling for mixed precipitation including three to five inches of snow and a light glaze of ice, as well as wind gusts up to 40 miles per hour.
“Plan on slippery road conditions,” according to the advisory. “The hazardous conditions will impact the Wednesday morning commute.”
“Gusty winds and heavy, wet snow may result in downed trees and power outages,” according to the advisory. “Snow will transition to mixed precipitation during the afternoon and evening.”
The NWS has also issued a hazardous weather outlook for Warren, McKean, Cambria, Somerset, Bedford, and Fulton counties, for the same time period.
