A Warren woman who had her bail revoked at a preliminary hearing has now picked up an aggravated assault charge for assaulting law enforcement after that hearing concluded.
Irisbelle Lacourt, 29, Warren, was charged by Warren County Sheriff's Deputies in the wake of that incident.
Deputies say in the affidavit that District Judge Todd Woodin instructed that Lacourt be taken into custody.
She attempted, police allege, to leave but walked into a holding cell. Two deputies attempted to place her under arrest.
"During this time, Lacourt was screaming 'They are kidnapping me,'" the affidavit alleges. "While attempting to place Lacourt in custody, she actively resisted" which resulted in the deputies being "kicked on multiple occasions" and struck by her arms.
It took two deputies and two adult probation officers to take her into custody and escort her to a jail holding cell.
"While escorting Lacourt to the holding cell, she continued to actively resist arrest by refusing to walk down the hallway, dropping her weight to the floor," deputies states, requiring officers to carry her. Deputies also allege that she attempted to leave the cell several times before it could be secured.
The resistance continued as a total of six officers were required to place her in a restraint chair.
Charges filed in the wake of the incident including aggravated assault, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.
Online court records show that her bail was revoked during the hearing and she was placed in the county jail for refusing to be fingerprinted and "minimal compliance with bail supervision."
Her initial charges stemmed from a situation where she refused to turn over a child as she, according to deputies, "indicated that she did not recognize our authority or the court's authority and she would not comply with any such orders."
