Jefferson DeFrees Family Center Executive Director Melinda Johnson is flanked by (left) Phyllis Rapp and Jamie Bees of Warren Pickleball Outreach Committee. WPOC was envisioned by ambassadors Kim Mong and Doug James and created as a community support group branching off of the fast-growing sport with the goal of giving back. The organizations teamed up on a food drive to help local families enjoy a brighter Thanksgiving holiday. The two groups also work together with the JDFC providing indoor court space for pickleball play.
