Toys for Tots in Warren County is looking for 10 new bikes to give to children this holiday season. The Warren County Chamber of Business and Industry is jumping in to try to make that a reality.

The effort is in conjunction with the upcoming Christmas Walk.

Savannah Casey, the Chamber’s administrative assistant, said the partnership with Toys for Tots started during the pandemic when the Christmas Walk couldn’t be in person.

“The timing was right to help a local organization provide to local children for the holiday season,” she said. “Since then it has become an annual partnership.”

Last year, Toys for Tots provided 4,780 toys to 576 children in the county.

“Our involvement this year is business vs. business,” Casey explained. “We’re trying to establish a friendly monetary competition.”

That competition is aimed at raising funds for those bicycles. And the Chamber will be handling the funds for that effort. The deadline is set for Dec. 1.

“The winning business,” Casey said, “will receive breakfast on us.”

“Toys for Tots is one of those programs that every person can support and get rallied behind,” she said. “I believe that we can all agree that all children deserve to have Christmas memories and gifts under the tree.”

She highlighted that local Toys for Tots benefits local children.

“We’re the Warren COUNTY Chamber of Business and Industry and while there is often a misconception for those that we serve, we look to better the entire County,” she explained. “From businesses to children, it all ends up supporting the local economy.

“576 local children were impacted last year. We hope our efforts can expand that number and give ten kids the gift of a bike.”
