‘Tall Cop’ to present on drug use, underage drinking
Tall Cop is coming to Warren County to help parents, teachers, and others learn about and recognize the signs of drug use in the community.
Officer Jermaine Galloway of Tall Cop Says Stop will present a free, public informative event, sponsored by the Youngsville Borough Police Department and Forest Warren Mental Wellness Association, from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Warren Area High School.
“These educational forums we put on for parents, teachers, and educators are so important,” Youngsville Borough Police Chief Todd Mineweaser said. “You can’t afford not to know.”
“Officer Galloway has nearly 20 years of experience in law enforcement and much of that time has been spent focused on combating underage drinking and drug abuse,” according to Mineweaser. “His presentations address underage drinking and drug problems and fight them within your own community.”
The presentation will cover numerous topics including: new drugs; logos and other identifiers; pictures, songs, and clothing connected to drugs; potential stash compartments; and vaping.
More information about the presentation is available by contacting Mineweaser at (814) 563-7555 or Stephanie Sturdevant at (814) 688-0355.
