Mercyhurst student gets inaugural scholarship

The Pat and Mark Evans Charitable Fund is branching into scholarships. The fund, through the Community Foundation of Warren County, was established “to provide legacy gifts to a number of charities in Warren County.” This year, the founders have decided to award a scholarship. “The scholarship is awarded to a student who will be studying music, art, photography, foreign languages or world history,” according to a release from Community Foundation Executive Director Rob Kaemmerer. The award is intended for students who are graduating from or graduates of Warren County high schools. The inaugural recipient is Morgan Kellogg. Kellogg is an Eisenhower High School graduate and a sophomore at Mercyhurst University. She is majoring in Music Education. “Morgan is the daughter of Shane and Tara Kellogg of Sugar Grove,” Kaemmerer said. “Morgan hopes to continue her education in music to the masters and doctorate level, following her parents footsteps as a professional educator.”
