Entries being accepted for Conservation District photo contest

Entries for Warren County Conservation District’s third annual photo contest are being accepted.

Photos taken in Warren County may be entered in 8-by-10 format, matted, not framed, by 4 p.m. Friday, Sept. 16, to Warren County Conservation District, 4000 Conewango Ave., Warren.

Categories include Livestock, Rocks, Storms, and Plant Life.

Each entrant may make no more than two entries in each category. The cost to enter each photo is $2.

Entries should have the name, address, phone number, place where the photo was taken, and category written on the back.

Entries will be judged by the Warren Camera Club on Oct. 6.

Photos will be on display at the WCCD office from Sept. 20 through Oct. 3. Visitors may vote for the favorite photos in each category. Those votes will determine the People’s Choice Award.

Winners will be announced on Oct. 11.

The prizes are provided by Allegheny Outfitters. Overall Best of Show will be awarded a $50 gift card. First Prize and People’s Choice in each category will receive $10 gift cards.

Professional photographers and employees and board members of the Warren County Conservation District are not eligible.

WCCD reserves the right to use submitted photos without restriction.
