Cummins to lease space at former distribution complex
There is a new tenant at the Irvine Distribution Complex.
According to Warren County Chamber of Business and Industry President and CEO Jim Decker, Cummins Corp. is leasing warehousing space at the facility.
“We have recently signed a five-year lease for approximately 254,000 square feet within the Irvine facility,” according to a statement relayed by Decker. The agreement includes options to extend beyond five years.
“We will continue to utilize our current Jackson Avenue warehouse, Jamestown, NY, in addition to the Irvine, PA, facility,” according to that statement.
Decker said the agreement will not result in much, if any, additional employment, at this time.
BlueStem Brands ceased operations at the Irvine Distribution Complex in 2021, announcing that final closure would take effect in August.
The company began moving inventory out of the facility in February of 2021.
There were about 240 employees at the IDC in early 2021.
