Woofington Dog Park in Starbrick will be taking some steps forward this spring.
The most visible? Signage.
The park was selected by the Warren County Board of Realtors as their non-profit of the year.
“The donation will help Woofington Dog Park purchase and install a sign that will be placed on the Route 6 side of the park, to help visitors find us,” Park President Kassie Damcott said.
“We currently use the Warren County Visitors Bureau address to easily identify where the Park is, although our address is a River Road address.”
A work bee is currently scheduled for Sunday starting at noon.
“We will be installing new benches, hanging banners and general yard work to clean up the Park after winter,” Damcott said. “We will have a rain-date of Sunday May 1st if the weather does not cooperate.”
She also explained that the park will be joining Warren Gives for the first time this year.
“Any additional donations we receive will help us install the fencing for a third, separate, section of the Park, which will be used for training purposes or for a dog who just needs his own space to play,” Damcott said. “We also need to purchase a shed to store maintenance items such as our mower, as well as seasonal items that will need to be put away in the winter months.”
