Kindergarten Registration now open, roundup on way
Kindergarten registration is open and the roundup is on its way.
The Warren County School District is encouraging parents of children who will turn 5 years old on or before July 1 to go online and sign up as soon as possible.
“We are still requesting that parents register their child online using the online registration found on the district’s website — www.wcsdpa.org,” Supervisor of Elementary Education Lynn Shultz said. “Any parent needing support should call Central Office at (814) 723-6900.” The registrar’s extension is 1027.
On the registration page, you can watch videos about registration, transportation, nutrition, and more, register your child for kindergarten, and upload supporting documents,” Shultz said.
Families will need to submit copies of the child’s state-issued birth certificate, the parent’s proof of residency, and the child’s immunization record.
For those unable to register from home, a computer station will be made available by calling the district office.
“Each school will host a Kindergarten Roundup session so interested parents can meet with various people to learn more about kindergarten and complete helpful screenings,” Shultz said. “Parents and children will be able to meet with the transportation department to discuss busing, meet with the school nurse to review medical needs and screening requirements, meet with the occupational therapist, physical therapist, and/or speech and language pathologist, and meet with Nutrition to learn about the breakfast and lunch program.”
The roundups will follow the following schedule:
¯ Eisenhower Elementary School — 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 22;
¯ Sheffield Elementary School — 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday, March 24;
¯ Warren Area Elementary Center — 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 29, and Wednesday, March 30; and
¯ Youngsville Elementary School — 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 5.
