It took two days longer than expected, but the 100th day of school in Warren County School District has passed.

Kindergarten students at Warren Area Elementary Center celebrated the event — which is more than half-way through the 180-day school year — with projects and lessons.

Many were wearing 100-day crowns — 100 days smarter and Hip Hip Hooray, it’s the 100th day, for example.

In one class, students made projects using 100 marshmallows and started down a path of learning to spell 100 words.

For an art project in another, students made images of themselves at 100 years old.

They had some tough choices to make — what their hair might look like and whether they might need glasses or not.

Other aspects of the pictures were pretty universal — the students didn’t have to guess their own eye colors and they were all smiling.
