Chamber hosting networking event
Those looking for some networking opportunities in Warren might want to check out Brews and Business.
The Warren County Chamber of Business and Industry (WCCBI) is bringing people together to talk business in some less-than-formal settings.
“We started having these functions towards the end of last year,” WCCBI Director of Chamber Operations John Papalia said. “It is just a way for people to get together and network at some of our member establishments.”
“The goal is rather simple — provide another way for people to share ideas and network together,” Papalia said.
Speakers, from J.L. Nick and Associates to the Trestle-to-Trestle Task Force, made presentations at previous events, according to WCCBI’s Savannah Casey.
The next event will be Wednesday, Feb. 16, at the Draft House.
The networking opportunities will be on the third Wednesday every other month after that: April 20, Cornerstone; June 15, Snuffy’s; and Aug. 17, Bent Run. Locations for the Oct. 19 and Dec. 21 events have not been determined.
The name of the program is undergoing a change.
“We are rebranding the Brews name to ‘Beverages and Business’ as there will be more than just brews offered,” Papalia said.
The events are open to the public.
