COVID cases hit new high in county
Warren County experienced its highest number of new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday.
The Pennsylvania Department of Health announced 82 new cases in the county.
That number edges the highest previous totals set Dec. 19, 2020, and Nov. 29, 2021.
Many of the new cases were in the probables list, with only 11 confirmed new cases.
The county’s cumulative total as of Wednesday was 5,757 – 4,491 of those confirmed.
One death was also added to the county’s totals on Wednesday, bringing that number to 181.
The number of hospitalizations rose Wednesday. According to the department, there were six patients hospitalized with COVID in the county, compared with four which had been steady for a week.
