With Halloween approaching, it’s time to check out spooky books.

The Warren Public Library has just what the young Halloween enthusiast needs.

“Halloween is just one week away,” Children’s Librarian Susan Slater said. “Stop by the Warren Public Library Children’s Department and check out some Halloween or spooky books.”

“The children’s department has Halloween books for younger and older children,” Slater said. “Some are quite scary, while others are just for fun.”

“If you are looking for movies or audio books, we have those, too,” she said. “Adults can find several displays on the adult side of the library with spooky items available for check out.”

The library even has a trick-or-treat opportunity of sorts. “Children who visit the children’s department on Saturday, Oct. 30, between 10 a.m. and 4:45 p.m. will receive a Halloween goody bag plus the opportunity to choose a free book to keep.”
