Lumberjacks and lumberjills, music, food, fun, and fireworks.

After a year off, the Johnny Appleseed Festival returned to Sheffield for its 15th year last weekend.

There were horse pulls and tractor pulls, the sawdust pit, and cornhole, but the core of the event was the timber sports competition.

The three days of events drew lumberjacks and lumberjills from all over, competing with axe and saw.

The event drew thousands who watched as chunks and dust flew, blocks crashed to the wooden stage, and athletes chopped while standing 12 feet above the ground.

Starting at $3.50/week.
