COVID-19: Thompson home recovering

Congressman Glenn Thompson is back home and plans to work remotely this week in the wake of a breakthrough COVID-19 diagnosis.

Thompson’s diagnosis was announced in a Friday statement when the Congressman “began experiencing cold-like symptoms and was promptly tested for COVID-19. While he is vaccinated, the test came back positive.”

According to an update posted Saturday, Thompson was released from Walter Reed National Military Center Friday evening “after receiving outpatient treatment for COVID-19 and has returned to his home in Pennsylvania to recover.”

Thompson “thanks the attending physician at the U.S. Capitol along with the doctors, nurses and staff at Walter Reed for their concern and care,” the statement said.

Thompson plans to work virtually from home next week.
