31 new COVID cases reported in Warren

There were 31 new cases of COVID-19 reported in Warren County on Wednesday.

According to the Pennsylvania Department of Health, there have been 3,480 cases in the county. Of those, 2,728 are confirmed and 752 are probable.

The department has published information about cases in children. According to that information, there were 26 cases among school-age children between Sept. 22 and 28. There were six positive cases among children up to 5 years old. Since Aug. 16, there have been 125 cases among school-age children and 18 among those under 5, according to the department.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Warren County remains an area of high community transmission. There were 648 tests performed in the county in the past week with 17.44 percent of those being positive.

No new deaths were added to the toll, leaving that number at 117.

No changes to the number of vaccinations were made in the department’s Wednesday report. According to the report, 15,223 residents are fully vaccinated and 2,416 who have received only one dose.
