TCCS takes 6-12 remote amid COVID-19 case increase

The Tidioute Community Charter School is switching to remote learning for grades six through 12 for the rest of the week due to a COVID-19 outbreak.

Chief Educational Officer Dr. Doug Allen said the action is in compliance with Pennsylvania Department of Health regulations “having over 10 COVID cases in a 14-day period.”

Allen said students in grades K4-5 remain in person.

“Our COVID cases have been in grades 6-12 primarily,” Allen said.

Warren County has added a total of 17 additional COVID-19 cases in the last three days — nine on Saturday, seven on Sunday and one on Monday. That brings the county’s total to 2,997 cases — 2,305 confirmed and 692 probable.

The county’s death toll remains at 110 with no change since Sept. 7.

A total of 14,766 people in the county are now fully vaccinated, a number that rose 53 since Friday.

The number of those partially vaccinated is 2,372 but that number reflects an increase since Friday of 68 individuals who are now in that category.
