Search Warrant Executed At Notary’s Office

Photo submitted to Times Observer Officers from Conewango Township Police and the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Office searched the Brenda Gibson Notary Service office at 1595 Market St., North Warren, Thursday.

There was law enforcement activity at the office of Brenda Gibson Notary Service again on Thursday.

Multiple official vehicles were seen at the 1595 Market St., North Warren, office throughout the day.

“This was a search warrant that was executed by the Attorney General’s office, assisted by Conewango Township Police,” Conewango Township Police Chief Jason Peters said.

The warrant was issued by the Warren County Court of Common Pleas.

About 15 officers from the two agencies participated in the search.

According to Peters, a large amount of material was seized by the Attorney General’s office and taken away in two U-Haul trucks.

The lock on the door to the office was changed Thursday afternoon.

On Sept. 9, the Times Observer reported that Gibson’s office was under investigation.

At that time, Rep. Kathy Rapp’s office had been helping residents who were having trouble with payments that should have gone to PennDOT through Gibson’s office, but had not. Rapp said numerous complaints had come to her office from people who had not received the documents they had paid for.
