Several free events are scheduled at Chapman StatePark. They include:
¯ Today — Salamander safari from 10 to 11 a.m. No registration is needed and the event is open to all ages. Learn fun facts about salamanders and then explore area streams as the group searches for live salamanders. Those attending should wear shoes that can get wet. The session meets at pavilion 1
¯ Today — Nature scavenger hunt from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Nregistration is required. The hunt’s starting location has been changed to the campground host site, with parking available across from the site. Look for signs of wildlife and other natural items while exploring the park. Scavenger lists will be provided.
¯ Sunday — nondemoninational chapel service at 10 a.m. in the amphitheater, or pavilion 4 in case of rain. No registration is required
FREE JOB ASSISTANCE AT LIBRARY
On Wednesday, Rebecca Whitney from PA CareerLink will be available at the Youngsville Public Library for various job-related workshops and general questions and answers. From noon to 1 p.m. there is a public question-and-answer period where those attending can ask for help navigating PA Careerlink or help with other job search topics. Walk-ins are welcome.
From 1 to 2 p.m., a Budgeting 101 workshop will be held. Registrations are requested. The workshop is available virtually and at the library. The workshop will teach tips and tricks about how to streamline expenses and prioritize budgetary needs. From 2 to 3 p.m. the “Employer Expectations” workshop will be held, with information about what employers are expecting and how to present one’s best self when job searching. Pre-registration is requested; the workshop is in-person.

SENIOR GAMES, FRIDAY AUG. 27, AT YMCA
Seniors, Are you ready for a little fun competition and games with lunch to follow? Check in at Warren YMCA at 9 a.m. Aug. 27 for the Senior Games. The games cost $3 per person with pre-registration forms available at all Warren-Forest county centers or at the YMCA. Sponsors include the Area Agency on Aging, Allegheny Community Center, YMCA and Rep. Kathy Rapp. Activities/games include a half-mile walk, beanbag toss, one-mile walk, softball throw, swimming a lap, basketball foul shot, frisbee toss and putting.
