Man faces life registration after sex assault plea

A Youngsville man has pleaded guilty to a sexual charge that will make him a registered sexual offender for the rest of his life.

Jose A. Rodriguez, 28, entered the plea on his trial date last week to a count of indecent assault with a victim less than 13-years-old.

The young, female alleged victim told police that Rodriquez rubbed her chest, thighs, and stomach and also placed his hands under her clothes, stating that one time he “had come into her room, spread her legs, and kissed her underwear….”

According to information from the Pennsylvania State Police, that specific indecent assault charge carries a lifetime registration requirement.

Online court records show that three additional counts of indecent assault and a count of corruption of minors were not prosecuted in exchange for the plea.

Those records show that sentencing is set for Nov. 8.

Starting at $3.50/week.
