Giant step “back to normal” with Fourth of July parade

Warren County took a giant step “back to normal” with Saturday’s Fourth of July parade. After a 2020 cancellation due to the pandemic, this year’s parade is remarkable for the simple fact that it was just what we remember the parade to be. Candy — tossed by, among a host of others, Congressman Glenn Thompson — was in abundance, as were the infamous Zem Zems and fire trucks from around the county. Several marching bands were on hand — both adult drum and bugle corps as well as the Maplewood High School band. The Boy Scouts featured prominently both by presenting the flags at the outset of the parade and for their float.
