A Warren man has been charged with statutory sexual assault amid allegations that he had sexual relations with a 15-year-old.

Joshua J. Erhard, 24, 800 Holly St., was charged by Warren-based Pennsylvania State Police on April 9.

The victim, now 16-year-old, reported “sexual behavior with a known person for many years in New York and then in Pennsylvania,” according to the affidavit of probable cause.

She was interviewed on March 12 at the Warren County Children’s Advocacy Center and disclosed Erhard “had begun a sexual relationship with her when she was 10 years old in Falconer, NY … The victim related that Erhard and his girlfriend had moved to a trailer park on Carlberg Road.” where sexual relations “occurred multiple times with Erhard.”

She disclosed she last had sex with Erhard in Glade Township during the summer of 2020.

Erhard was interviewed last month by the Town of Ellicott police department and Chautauqua County sheriff’s deputies.

“During the interview, Erhard admitted that he had consensual vaginal sex with the victim” at his Glade Township residence in 2020.

He faces a single felony count of statutory sexual assault. A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for May 4 at 11:20 a.m.
