City pool, playground program shuttered for 2021
For the second consecutive year, the City of Warren will be cutting summer programming due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
That means the municipal pool will remain closed in 2021 and the city won’t be operating the supervised playground program.
Mike Holtz, the city’s public works director, said on Thursday that the closures are pandemic related.
“There are still some outlying concerns there,” he said. “We’re just not sure we’re ready to do that yet.”
