A Pittsfield man is behind bars on charges alleging that he purchased 15 pounds of marijuana in the mail.

Brandon J. Fox, 29, 4735 Davey Hill Rd., was charged by Warren County Drug Task Force investigators on Jan. 13.

According to the affidavit of probable cause, the postmaster in Pittsfield received a report from an anonymous female that Fox was purchasing drugs via the mail. Postal inspectors confirmed three prior deliveries from known “sources areas” for controlled substances to the address and intercepted a fourth package on Jan. 7.

A federal search warrant revealed 14.85 pounds of marijuana in the package.

Local authorities subsequently conducted a controlled delivery and searched the residence once the package had been received.
