35 new cases Monday; DOH revises Sunday total from 5 to 80

With 35 new cases of COVID-19 announced on Monday, and Sunday’s total revised from five to 80, Warren County had an average of almost 60 new cases a day over the weekend.

According to the Pennsylvania Department of Health, there were 35 new cases on Monday, 80 on Sunday, and 59 on Saturday.

Sunday’s result was a single-day high for the county, eclipsing the previous high total of 70 from two weeks ago.

The department initially reported only five new cases on Sunday. The county has not had a day with a single-digit increase since Nov. 24 when there were seven new cases.

Among the total of 1,147 cases in the county so far, there have been 964 confirmed cases and 183 probables.

The county’s rate is 2,903.9 cases per 100,000 population.
