A Fredonia, NY woman faces a false report charge for allegedly drumming up rape allegations to cover an affair.

Stephanie A. Kicak, 20, Wisteria Drive, Fredonia, NY, was charged by City of Warren police on Thursday.

According to the affidavit of probable cause, Kicak reported to police back in June that she was raped at Point Park while in town visiting her mother.

Police arranged for a composite sketch with the FBI and a rape kit was completed. Additional investigation led police to a possible suspect.

That suspect showed police Facebook messages that led police back to interviewing Kicak.

Police say Kicak “was also shown a portion of the evidence, which revealed that she knew the alleged suspect in this case” and admitted that “the sexual acts were consensual.”
