Many hands — especially when they are young and strong — make light work.

On Sunday, the Warren Area High School boys soccer team performed some volunteer community service at the Hospice House of Warren County.

“The WAHS soccer team, along with their coaches, parents, friends, and supporters, banded together to accomplish all the tasks we had at hand,” Volunteer Coordinator Barbi Zingone said. ” What a respectful group of individuals. They arrived with rakes, gloves, and leaf blowers, each one respecting our masking policy.”

The Hospice House holds two work bees each year.

In addition to dealing with leaves, the players moved heavy things, trimmed landscaping, swept, removed debris, rearranged furniture and appliances, recycled, and even cleaned windows.

“In just a little over an hour, all tasks were complete,” Zingone said. “Hospice of Warren County truly has the best, most dedicated helpers ever. We are always forever grateful for each one.”
