Sentences handed down in county court

Judge Gregory Hammond handed down the following sentences on Friday at the Warren County Courthouse.

¯ Emmett G. Confer, Clarendon, to nine months to two years less one day incarceration with credit for 64 days time served, $1,125 in fines and fees, 50 hours of community service, work release and early reentry eligibility, submission of a DNA sample, mental health treatment, anger management treatment and healthy relationships programming on a count of simple assault.

¯ Elise S. Dunn, Clarendon to six months restrictive probation including 72 hours house arrest, $1,425 in fines and fees, participation in the alcohol highway safety school and victim impact panel programs, a 12 month license suspension and 15 hours of community service on a count of DUI: Controlled substance — Schedule I — first offense as well as one year consecutive probation, a $300 fine and 20 hours of community service on a count of possession of drug paraphernalia.

¯ Michael V. Knapp, Irvine, to three months to two years less day incarceration, $1,125 in fines and fees, a no contact/no trespass order, 50 hours of community service, work release and early reentry eligibility, submission of a DNA sample and participation in anger management treatment on a count of simple assault.

¯ Reko L. Powell, Warren, to 12 to 24 months incarceration in state prison with credit for 75 days time served, $1,725 in fines and fees, to undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation and comply with recommendations, boot camp and recidivism risk reduction incentive eligibility, submission of a DNA sample and eligibility for state drug treatment programs on a count of possession with intent to deliver as well as six to 12 months incarceration and a $500 fine on a count of criminal use of a communications facility. At a second docket, Powell was sentenced to 12 to 24 months incarceration in state prison with credit for 338 days time served and $1,125 in fines and fees on a count of possession with intent to deliver.

¯ Michael B. Salsgiver, Tidioute, to six months probation, $725 in fines and fees, participation in the alcohol highway safety school and victim impact panel programs and 15 hours of community service ona count of DUI: General impairment — incapable of safe driving — first offense as well as a total of $70 on a count of careless driving.

¯ Michael F. Toter, North Warren, to six months restrictive probation including 72 hours house arrest, $1,625 in fines and fees, participation in the alcohol highway safety school and victim impact panel programs, a 12 month license suspension and 15 hours of community service on a count of DUI: General impairment — incapable of safe driving — first offense.

¯ Christopher M. Walton, Youngsville, to one year probation, $520 in restitution, $675 in fines and fees, 20 hours of community service and compliance with treatment recommendations on a count of criminal mischief — damage property intentional, reckless or negligent.
