Police respond to Sunday accidental shooting

Warren-based Pennsylvania State Police responded to an accidental shooting Sunday at about noon.

According to a statement, police responded to a residence on Rounds Hill Rd. in Sugar Grove Township. The report was an “accidental self-inflicted gunshot wound.”

Police say the individual, a 46-year-old man from Mechanicsville, Md., was found “to have discharged a single round into his thigh.”

He was life-flighted to UPMC Hamot in Erie for treatment.
