Four new COVID cases brings county total to 50

Four new Warren County cases of COVID-19 were announced by the Department of Health on Friday, bringing the county’s total cases to 50.

Four cases in one day is the largest single daily increase for the county so far. The previous high was three cases in a day – three times – announced on Aug. 21, Sept. 1, and Sept. 9.

The new cases were all confirmed, bringing that total to 40, with another 10 cases listed as probable. The last time a probable case was added to the county’s total was Sept. 15.

According to the Department of Health’s COVID-19 dashboard, there have been 3,683 negative tests in the county.

The county’s COVID rate – infections per 100,000 population – is 126.60. That is still the lowest rate in the state.
