The Warren County Coroner’s Office has confirmed a fatality at a fire that broke out Friday morning at a Columbus Township residence.

The call went out for the fire at 365 Scotts Crossing Road just before 6 a.m.

Deputy Coroner Tony Chimenti said there was a fatality and that the fire is under investigation by a Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshal.

The identity of the person killed in the fire has not been released.

Numerous Warren and Erie county fire departments responded to the scene as did the coroner’s office and Pennsylvania State Police out of Corry.
