Warren County added to drought list
Warren County was one of 13 added Wednesday to a drought watch issued by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection.
McKean County was one of two moved from a watch into a warning level status.
The expansion, which was announced after a meeting of the Commonwealth Drought Task Force, brings the totals to 29 counties in the watch and three in warning.
Those declarations are made based on stream-flow and groundwater conditions, precipitation, and soil moisture.
