New COVID-19 case reported in Warren County

After 10 days, Warren County has a new case of COVID-19.

A new case — the county’s 43rd — was reported on Saturday.

The last time there was a new case reported was Wednesday, Sept. 16.

Of the county’s cases, 33 are confirmed and 10 probable.

There has been one death reported in the county that was attributed to COVID-19 — a rate of 2.5 per 100,000 population.

The county has a rate of 108.90 cases per 100,000 population – the lowest in the state.

Some other counties with low COVID rates are: McKean — 57 cases, 139.10; Venango — 84 cases, 163.90; Tioga — 70 cases, 171.70; Potter — 29 cases, 174.50; and Cameron — 8 cases, 178.10.

Erie County has reported 1,552 cases, or 570.5 per 100,000. There have been 38 COVID-related deaths there for a rate of 14 per 100,000.

The counties with the highest rates as of Monday are Delaware — 11,422 cases for 2,022.50 per 100,000; and Philadelphia with 31,636 cases or 1,997.00 per 100,000.

The death rates in those counties exceeds the rate of cases in Warren County. Philadelphia has had 115 COVID deaths per 100,000 population and Delaware has had 133.9 per 100,000.
