Three properties were before the county’s Blighted Property Review Committee on Thursday during the committee’s first meeting since November.
The committee tabled action against 1465 Rt. 62 in Pleasant Township.
Chairman Paul Pascuzzi said that the property was first identified as blighted by the township in April 2019 and is in “pretty rough shape.”
Hearing at the November meeting that the township may take it over, discussion included sending the blight declaration request back to the township.
Commissioner Jeff Eggleston, who is on the committee, said the property sits “in a swamp basically, right off the road,” speculating that there has to be “major water damage in there.”
Committee member Dave Wholeben, Mead Township supervisor, said the township should provide documentation to the committee rather than the committee removing the property from the blight list.
The committee ultimately tabled action to provide time to hear from the township.

Pascuzzi said the owner has put effort into rehabilitating the structure.
Discussion with the owner, Darrell Antrim, revealed that the two primary issues to resolve are the siding and connecting water service.
The committee tabled action until October to complete those items.
The committee removed 235 Main St. in Tidioute from the blighted list upon the recommendation of the Tidioute Borough code official.
