There are a lot of things missing this summer, but Music in the Park is not one of them.

The event series missed its first two weeks of the season, but 2020 will feature 12 different bands on 12 Friday nights through Sept. 4.

The summer Music in the Park series will begin at 7 p.m. Friday with classic rock from Night Shift.

“We have to have something going on in the city,” Coordinator Bill Thompson said. “I was advised by the city to have everyone please abide by the CDC requirements.”

That’s the usual social distancing and outdoor gatherings of more than 250 people are prohibited.
