City to begin enforcing parking again

As Warren County moves toward reopening in the yellow phase of COVID-19 response, folks will have to start thinking about where they park.

The City of Warren Police Department will begin enforcing parking in the city next week.

“The city will be resuming parking enforcement operations beginning on Monday, May 11. for on-street and parking lots,” Chief Brandon Deppen said.

Some changes made in response to the COVID-19 response are still in effect.

“We have established 15-minute spaces in some areas to assist local restaurants and businesses with pick up and take out service,” Deppen said. “Those meters are posted with a sign designating the spaces and will not require payment for those using them for pick up.”

Those spaces will keep their 15-minute limits until the county moves into the ‘green phase.’
