4th of July group cancels ‘20 events
The chairman of the Warren County 4th of July Organization reached out on Friday to tell the Times Observer that the 2020 4th of July festivities have been canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Even though Governor Wolf moved Warren County to the “Green Phase” (on May 29), there is still restrictions… Festivals, concerts and large gatherings — which would include our 4th of July parade and fireworks,” said 4th of July Organization Chairman Bill Thompson. “Please accept my deep regret, but I (have) to think of the safety of everyone; this year’s 2020 celebration is canceled and looking forward to 2021.”
