Schools update meal programs

The COVID-19 pandemic is a constantly-changing situation.

As the school closure related to the pandemic stretches, there are some additions and changes to the grab-and-go lunch program.

Everyone ages 18 and under is welcome to meals distributed by Warren County School District and Tidioute Community Charter School.

The district’s grab-and-go program is available Monday through Friday. The locations are:

¯ Sheffield Middle/High School — 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.;

¯ Warren Area Elementary Center — 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.;

¯ Youngsville Middle/High School — 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.;

¯ Allegheny Village — 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.;

¯ Clarendon Methodist Church — 11:30 a.m. to noon;

¯ First Lutheran Church — 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.;

¯ Holly Apartments — 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.;

¯ Mason’s Mobile Home Park — 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.;

¯ Sugar Grove Volunteer Fire Department — 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.; and

¯ Wilderness Trailer Park — 12:30 to 1 p.m.

The stops on the district’s two mobile routes — in the Youngsville and Russell areas — have also been updated:

¯ North Warren Community Park — 11:30 to 11:50 a.m.;

¯ Larimer Park — noon to 12:30 p.m.;

¯ Grand Valley Post Office — 11:30 to 11:50 a.m.;

¯ Valley View Village — noon to 12:20 p.m.;

¯ Pleasant Valley Trailer Park — 12: 30 to 12:50; and

¯ Bear Lake Volunteer Fire Department — noon to 12:45 p.m.

At the sites, those picking up meals must have the children to be fed with them in the vehicles.

One person from each vehicle is asked to get out to get the meals to help maintain social distancing.

Grab-and-go meals will be available at the Tidioute Community Charter School bus loading area from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Monday, March 23, and Wednesday, March 25.
