Got ideas on recreation options in the county?

County officials want to hear from you.

Warren County is working on the development of a county-wide Recreation and Greenways Plan and is looking for public feedback as part of that process.

An online survey is available at surveymonkey.com/r/WarrenCountyRec or through the county’s website, warrencopa.com.

“We want to know what parks and trails County residents are using, what types of facilities or programs you would use if offered and where you think Warren County should invest in parks and recreation in the future,” County Planner Dan Glotz said. “We are encouraging all County residents to take the survey, should should take about 10 minutes to complete.”

According to a statement from the county, the “purpose of the plan is to help the County determine where and what investments to make in parks, recreation, trails and greenways over the next 10 years.”

Anyone who completes the survey by March 1 will be entered into a drawing for one of several prizes courtesy of the Warren County visitors Bureau.

The City of Warren is also completing such a plan in conjunction with the county.

Funding for the plan includes a grant from the state Department of Conservation and Natural Resources. A Pittsburgh-based planning firm, Mackin Engineering.
